What metallic epoxy is
Metallic epoxy is a clear, self-leveling epoxy loaded with metallic pigments. While the resin is still wet, we move the pigment with rollers, brushes, solvent and air to create swirls, veining and depth. Light hits the pigment at different angles, so the floor shifts as you walk across it. No two floors come out the same, and that is the point.

How we pour a metallic floor
Prep and moisture testing
Metallic systems are unforgiving over bad concrete, because every dip and crack shows through the clear resin. We diamond-grind the slab, fill cracks and low spots, and test moisture before we quote. Basement slabs with high readings get a moisture-tolerant primer.
Primer and base color
A primer seals the concrete, then a pigmented base coat sets the background tone. Dark bases give deep, dramatic floors. Light bases give a marble or quartz look.
The metallic pour
The metallic coat goes down as a flood coat and is worked by hand while it levels. This is where the design happens, so we plan color combinations and effects with you before the day of the pour.
Protective top-coat
A clear top-coat protects the metallic layer from scratches and sets the gloss level. We can add fine anti-slip texture for kitchens, bars and entryways.
